How archetypes are assigned

Three dimensions combine into a 3x2x2 grid of 12 archetypes:

  • Volatility regime (calm / normal / stressed) — by annualized vol percentile vs the market’s own history
  • Trend regime (trending / mean-reverting) — by Hurst exponent percentile
  • Tail regime (clean / fat) — by rolling kurtosis percentile

All percentiles are per-market absolute (vs that market’s own full history), so “stressed” means stressed for this market, not stressed vs other markets. Cross-market personality comparisons live in the clusters view (coming in Phase 2).
